Venus enters Cancer

The Goddess of Love enters the domestic domain of Cancer. Here, Venus’ outlook on relationships changes quite dramatically. Socializing and flirtation (Venus in Gemini) aren’t enough anymore. Meaningful relationships are in order: loyalty, trust, and intimacy are her mantras.
Venus in Cancer cares about everything near and dear – sometimes a bit too much. Clinginess and overprotection can become an issue of conflict. Others don’t necessarily appreciate micro-management.
Her intuitions tend to be very acute. Venus in Cancer feels things in her belly: she trusts her gut feelings. However, such notions can also be misleading. However, hanging on to outmoded patterns of behaviour or idealized notions of how things should be, are not very useful strategies when it comes to adapting to change. A better way would be to dig down deep and clear the mud from the source, so the waters of life and love flow clearly and freely once more.
Venus in Cancer is well capable of this kind of renewal. She sheds her skin every now and again so she can grow – if she feels safe to do so.
