Venus enters Aquarius on February 1 and will stay there until February 25, 2021. With the Sun, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mercury already there, this is quite a pile-up of planets. During the course of the month, they will not just form conjunctions with each other, but, most significantly, form squares with Uranus and Mars in Taurus. No doubt, Venus’ transit through Aquarius will play a part in diplomatic relationships. This is all the more important as Mercury is retrograding and Saturn is building up to its exact square with Uranus. Get the popcorn ready – it looks like it will be an interesting month.

Venus is moving through Aquarius from February 1 – 25, 2021

Venus is moving into Aquarius, the sign of the water bearer. In this sign, the Goddess of Love is far more light-hearted than in Saturn’s other sign, Capricorn. In Aquarius, Venus is a free spirit, fiercely independent, and, yes, sometimes a bit aloof. There is a strong need to express her uniqueness, which, alas, at times can simply manifest as being contrarian. In Aquarius, Venus gets her kicks from intellectual challenges or debates. She enjoys playing ‘devil’s advocate’ just to test an argument.

Venus in Aquarius is more likely to enjoy platonic friendships than romantic relationships. It’s that messy business of dealing with actual feelings, whether her own or those of others that she is somewhat uncomfortable with. She is most likely to view them with an air of detachment keeping them at arm’s length at least! Picture Venus examining her emotional state in some kind of operating theatre, fully clad surgical gear, goggles, gloves, and all. After dissecting them carefully she will probably identify the culprit of her unease and will take measures to expel it, by means of rationalization. It is a form of denial to which Venus in Aquarius is very prone.

On the other hand, Venus can be very flirtatious in Aquarius. She is very sociable and absolutely MUST know what is going on around her. But it is more than just a propensity for gossip. It is also an interest in social and community issues. And, these are issues that she deeply cares about and is likely to address in practical ways.

Networking is where Venus in Aquarius truly shines. It is a great transit for teamwork and co-operation.

Venus transiting through the houses

Self-Presentation, Persona (1. House)

Venus in Aquarius is individualistic and demands that her independence be respected. When she transits an Aquarian first house, she is keen to connect with like-minded people. It is a good transit for ‘making a good first impression’.

Money, Values (2. House)

When passing through the second house, Venus in Aquarius tends to have social values topmost on her mind. Venus here also enjoys spending money on her social sphere of influence.

Friends and Kin, Mental Processing (3. House)

An Aquarian third house denotes a colorful assortment of friends and acquaintances. When Venus is moving through this part of the horoscope, it is a good time to show them how much you appreciate them for their uniqueness. This transit focuses on the importance of tolerance in the social world.

Home and Family (4. House)

An Aquarian fourth house denotes a family of friends, unconventional perhaps, but based on shared values and ideas. Tolerance and individual freedom are the highest ideals. Venus passing through this section of the horoscope kindles warmth, kindness, and love, and friendship (even relationships between parents and children are based on the ideal of friendship) and makes for a pleasant atmosphere at home.

Creativity, Children (5. House)

When Venus passes through the fifth house the time is ripe for having some fun. Under normal circumstances, this would be a very sociable period. Under the current signs of the times our social life may be curbed, but one can still connect with others or date, online. It is a good time to progress an artistic/creative project – perhaps even with a group of people? Or online?

Health, Work, Service (6. House)

Transiting Venus in the sixth house is keen to help where help is needed. It is a good time for engaging with social causes or to volunteer for projects that you care about. The social cause also provides a forum for social connection and mutual support.

Partnership, Relationship (7. House)

The seventh house is about relationships. Aquarian there demands plenty of space and independence. But when Venus is moving through, the tenor is quite a bit warmer and more affectionate than usual. This is a fun-filled and flirtatious transit.

Shared Assets, Inner Resources (8. House)

When Venus passes through the eighth house, intimacy, sex, and money might move into focus.  A friendship or partnership can become a powerful social resource. It is a good time to affirm your social bonds and to count your blessings.

Travel, Study (9. House)

The ninth house is about expanding one’s horizons, both mental and physical. When Venus passes through, a contact (perhaps a stranger from another country) or novel ideas may change your perspective. While Venus traveling through an Aquarian ninth house certainly loves an adventure, a mental escapade will prove just as exciting, if actual travel is impossible.

Career, Status (10. House)

A Venus transit through the tenth house is always welcome. In Aquarius, it is particularly great for networking and attracting support for your ideas. It adds flair to business interactions and boosts the collegial spirit. It is a good time to reach out to others and to make the most of your charm.

Community, In-Group (11. House)

The eleventh house is Aquarius’ ‘natural domain’. When Venus is moving through this house it is a particularly good time for group activities – even if they have to take place online. Being part of a social network or group can contribute greatly to your sense of well-being.

Spirituality, Transcendence (12. House)

A Venus transit through an Aquarian twelfth house suggests a time of selfless giving. This transit is highly altruistic in nature. It denotes an ability to gain personal satisfaction by working toward a greater good.
