November is Scorpio Season. Gone are the bright, warm summer days. It is time to turn inward, prepare for the winter, tidy up, take stock, and clear out what we no longer need.
November 1 – 5, 2023
It is also time to listen to the body, restore its energies, and nourish the soul.
The Mercury/ Chiron quincunx on November 1, reminds us of the importance of keeping the physical and emotional body well-balanced. The quincunx is perhaps the most challenging aspect. It often manifests as a dilemma or crisis confronting us with unsavoury choices. Either we reach a stalemate, or the boil breaks open, releasing its toxins.
From November 2 to 5, the undercurrents intensify uncomfortably. The Sun forms a sesquiquadrate with Neptune on November 2, further aggravating the tension-laden ambience. On The following day, the Sun opposes Jupiter. Promises, promises…or wishful thinking, especially as Venus quincunxes the North Node and opposes Neptune. Diplomacy may not go well. There is a sense of fakery. The show is more important than the substance. On November 4, Venus forms a sesquiquadrate with Jupiter, and Saturn turns direct. It feels like the morning-after effect. It’s sobering to look reality in the face, but can galvanise the energy to make new plans. Given that Mercury is opposite Uranus, it can even take a radical turn.
On November 5, a quincunx between Mars and Chiron, and a semi-square between Jupiter and Neptune, round off this series of unsettling aspects.
Although Astrology is not a weather forecast, the aspects of this first week of November may also manifest as environmental issues.
November 6 – 10, 2023
An empowering trine between Venus and Pluto kicks off the following week. But Mercury’s quincunx with the North Node suggests that some serious issues with far-reaching consequences are on the agenda.
On November 7, Mercury trines Neptune – an exciting aspect for creatives, although not always easy to navigate. Some may experience it as a blissful flow, while others can be so overwhelmed by their ideas that they don’t know where to start, and thus maybe don’t.
Venus enters Libra the next day and immediately forms a quincunx with Saturn. These two don’t see eye-to-eye. Venus is concerned with justice, while Saturn in Pisces is preoccupied with suffering and sacrifice.
The energy patterns continue much in the same vein. When Mercury moves into Sagittarius on November 10, he immediately squares Saturn and probably puts his foot right in it. Mercury in Sagittarius often speaks before he thinks, causing ruffled feathers.
November 11 – 13, 2023
Mercury sextiles Pluto on November 11, and the Sun quincunxes Chiron on the same day. It might be time to grapple with some unpopular truths. A sesquiquadrate between Mercury and Chiron, and Mars opposite Uranus may bring things to a breaking point. On the New Moon, on November 13, Uranus receives further aspects underlining the pattern: An opposition from the Sun and a sesquiquadrate from Venus. Be alert and prepare for disruptions. Things may not go according to plan.
Flexibility is the best strategy to deal with adversity.
November 14 – 17, 2023
A sextile between Mercury and Venus on November 15 sees tensions easing, at least temporarily. Kindness and consideration can mean the world. But the Sun semi-squares Venus on the same day, revealing another potential source of conflict. Best to nip it in the bud -address the issue directly, with empathy.
November 16 seems all tied up in knots. Venus and Mercury form quincunxes with Jupiter, and the head and heart may be at odds. The North Node receives a sesquiquadrate from Mercury and a quincunx from Mars. Although everything is on the table, it is not easy to disentangle the knot as the different agendas remain very much at odds. A real compromise must involve both give and take, and not just go one way.
There is no let-up on November 17. Sun and Mars trine Neptune, but Venus semi-squares Mars. Something isn’t right, even if fully sugar-coated. Something irritating is lurking beneath the surface.
November 18 – 21, 2023
Sun and Mars finally catch up to each other on November 18, another peak of the current drama. Mercury semisquares Pluto on November 19, a moment of reflection and release.
On November 20, the Sun sextiles Pluto, and Mercury trines Chiron on the 21. There has been a lot of processing during the last week or two. Now it is time to reap the fruit and integrate the lessons learned. It is a healing process.
November 22 – 25, 2023
The Sun moves into Sagittarius on November 22, bringing in a change of energy. The intensity will be dialled down a notch, even if the challenges continue. Mars sextiles Pluto on the same day. This is an empowering aspect, decisive and determined. Meanwhile, Venus forms a sesquiquadrate with Saturn and opposes Chiron. Some aspects will meet with resistance.
From here to the end of the month, the challenging aspects dominate again. On November 23, the Sun squares Saturn and forms a sesquiquadrate with Chiron. Limitations may cause frustration.
Mercury quincunxes Uranus on November 24, just as Mars enters Sagittarius. Although Mars is full of energy in this sign, he can act like a steamroller. Diplomacy has never been his strong suit. This energy will be on display on November 25, a highly dynamic day.
Chiron receives a semi-square from Saturn, and a sesquiquadrate from Mars, who also squares Saturn. On the same day, Mercury forms a sesquiquadrate with Jupiter. How to navigate the thin line between caution and carelessness seems to be the issue. Don’t take unnecessary risks, especially in health matters.
November 26 – 30, 2023
On November 26, Venus quincunxes Uranus. The energy of the last few days builds up to the Full Moon in Gemini on November 27. The Full Moon itself does not feature many prominent aspects, except a square between Mercury and Neptune. It looks like a recipe for confusion or mixed-up agendas. On November 29, Venus opposes the North Node while the Sun quincunxes Jupiter. There may be things from the past to deal with before taking the next steps. The emotionally charged month ends with Mercury sextiling Pluto, and Venus quincunxing Neptune on November 30. A snippet of information can spark an avalanche of ideas, but also spin things into confusion as additional possibilities enter the scene. It seems like November will be a month of ‘yes, but’s and ‘if only’s’.
