Full Moon in Virgo

March 7, 2023, 12:40 GMT

This Full Moon in Virgo, on March 7, 2023 is precariously balanced. The dominant energies are distributed in mutable water (Pisces) and cardinal fire. It’s a steamy dynamic.

Sun conjunct Mercury and Neptune (wide)  in Pisces

The Sun in Pisces gets support from Mercury and Neptune, although they are not closely conjunct. There is a lot of soul-searching going on. Pisces is led by feelings, sentiments and intuition. Attune to that inner voice and listen closely. It is a time for ideation.

The Aries planets, Jupiter, Chiron and Venus, are more closely conjunct and ready to push forward. But there is not much interaction between them.

Full Moon trine/sextile Uranus

The most dynamic aspects are those between the Full Moon axis and Uranus in Taurus. He receives a trine from the Moon and a sextile from the Sun. This energy is thrusting and full of conviction. It is a monumental change, which is never just black and white. The Moon cautions us to look closer and not get carried away by the promises of wonderland.

Full Moon sesquiquadrate/semi-square Pluto

The trine/sextile to Pluto is offset by another pattern that acts as its shadow: the sesquiquadrate/semi-square with Pluto. Both Uranus and Pluto are disruptive. The influence of these patterns mingling with the Full Moon may rock the boat quite a bit. Uncertainty creates unease, but also liberates creative potential.

Sun/Moon square Mars

The Full Moon squares another quarrelsome planet, the warrior-like Mars. Since Mars is in Gemini, the output is most likely verbal. But there is a disparity between the head and the heart, which may be at the root of the conflict.

Jupiter conjunct Chiron

Jupiter and Chiron are conjunct in Aries. They believe in meeting the challenge head-on and going through fire if necessary. Jupiter rallies with passion and conviction, touting the horn of heroism.

Jupiter/Chiron/Venus quincunx Moon / Jupiter/ Chiron/ Venus semi-sextile Sun

Jupiter, Chiron and Venus quincunx the Moon and a semi-sextile the Sun. These aspects are uneasy. The quincunx can be health-related. Under these influences, the Moon is fretting and anxious. The way forward is to deal with the challenges by learning more about them. The better we understand a challenge, the better equipped we are to devise a coping strategy.

THE BIGGY: Saturn moves into Pisces

Saturn is changing signs on this Full Moon, making this event even more significant. In the old alchemical system of correspondences, Saturn represents lead. It does not swim easily in oceanic Pisces. Its clearly defined edges and boundaries are constantly eroded, making seemingly solid ground less certain. Saturn in Pisces forces us to question things on a much deeper level. Whether this leads to despair or spiritual redemption depends on our personal response to this crisis. Read more about it here.
