Jupiter enters Pisces

Your sacred space is where you can find yourself, over and over.

Jupiter’s movements in 2022

Jupiter enters Pisces for the second time on December 29, 2021. He whizzes by and will be entering Aries by May 10, 2022. He continues into Aries for quite some time – until he reaches 8°, before turning retrograde on July 28, 2022. For most of the rest of the year, he backtracks to return to Pisces, which he will reach on October 28, 2022. On November 23, Jupiter will turn direct again at 28° Pisces. But it won’t take long for him to finish off his business in Pisces and enter Aries for the second time, on December 20, 2022.

Jupiter’s spiritual vision

Jupiter’s spiritual vision is holistic and awe-inspiring. In Pisces, his path is mystical rather than religiously dogmatic. Although he is fond of ceremonies, his spiritual revelation comes in dreams and meditation. He sensitizes us to the magic of everyday mindfulness. It is all a question of focus – the world changes by how we look at it. Or, as Blake puts it:

“To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.”

Duality

But Pisces is a dual sign. While one fish swims up towards the light of consciousness, the other dives into the oceanic depths, searching for the very source of life, the universe and everything.

Alas, where there is life, there is also suffering and death. Pisces is acutely aware of this, but Jupiter, the eternal optimist, manages to wrest meaning even from the experience of suffering. For Jupiter in Pisces, redemption is a path to transcendence.

Boundlessness

Pisces is a boundless sign – it knows no limits. Jupiter, as its ruler, is similarly expansive. To direct this kind of energy can be a challenge. It ebbs and flows according to its own invisible currents. Thus, Jupiter’s grandiose visions can sometimes overwhelm the mind. It is a fine line between madness and creative chaos.

Jupiter in Pisces is so all-encompassing and thus highly ambiguous. Trying to unite all opposites, he can lose orientation. Who is to say which point of view is more valid than the next? It is not easy to reach the state of mind that merges all opposites into oneness.

Optimism

Jupiter is an eternal optimist. In Pisces, he has a sixth sense that guides him intuitively so that he almost magically happens to be in the right place at the right time. The difference between good fortune and bad sometimes simply lies in whether we listen to that little voice. However, occasionally such a ‘winning streak’ can create the illusion of infallibility, which almost always leads to disaster.

Note:

Jupiter’s transits are usually positive, but he also has a shadow side: self-aggrandizing boastfulness, insatiable greed and excess. To get the most out of this transit, temper its energy with a sprinkling of humility and moderation.

Self-Presentation, Persona (1. House):

Self-confidence and optimism can open many doors. Our expectations influence the way we approach any new challenge or situation. Openness, warmth and optimism are infectious, and people will respond. But don’t let boastfulness trip you up. Jupiter certainly boosts confidence, but that does not impart infallibility. Psychologically, Jupiter in Pisces wants to overcome all boundaries and limitations. But as human beings, we can not merge into a cosmic singularity. The next best thing is the experience of universal love.

Money, Values (2. House):

The second house is the house of values, and possessions. It comprises the values we hold regarding money and the material world. Jupiter in Pisces does not know any limitations. Treats and booze are hard to resist. Spiritually, Jupiter wants to help others and share its fortunes with the whole wide world.

Friends and Kin, Mental Processing (3. House):

Jupiter transits in the third house can be a boon for social activities. Opportunities grow from the meetings of minds. Perhaps a close friend or relative inspires you to learn something new. Spiritually, Jupiter is the flame of hope and inspiration that we can pass on via our daily interactions.

Home and Family (4. House):

If you have been thinking about moving, this transit would probably be a good time to do so. Jupiter passing through the fourth house often coincides with buying or selling property or doing major decorating works. Spiritually, this time can awaken interest in connecting with your ancestral roots.

Creativity, Children (5. House):

In the house of creativity, Jupiter is bursting with ideas and creative energy. This type of transit can inspire a major project while boosting confidence to actually get it done.
But, if there are gambling problems or other types of addiction, this can be a difficult time. Jupiter lends confidence – but it does not impart infallibility. Spiritually, this transit can connect you to your inner source as a well-spring of creative potential.

Health, Work, Service (6. House):

During this transit, physical health and well-being gain a new significance. A special diet or exercise routine may have idealistic or even religious overtones. Spiritually, this transit highlights the connectedness between mind and body. Taking care of one also impacts the other. The body is the temple of the soul.

Partnership, Relationship (7. House):

Jupiter in Pisces is highly empathic and sensitive to the needs of others. This benevolent influence marks a period of spiritual and personal growth through deep, personal connections and partnerships. However, protecting your boundaries and your personal space may be difficult. Spiritually, the most intimate relationship is the key to experiencing unconditional love.

Shared Assets, Inner Resources (8. House):

Sometimes, this transit indicates some kind of windfall regarding material resources. But, it can also indicate the discovery of inner strength and resources that enhance resilience. Spiritually, a strong connection with a spiritual source is a well-spring of hope and inspiration.

Travel, Study (9. House):

Jupiter is right at home in the ninth house and really gets a chance to shine. Jupiter’s boundless thirst for knowledge and understanding may send you on a quest for discovery. This transit can signify embarking on a course of study or teaching. Psychologically, inner and outer growth are closely connected. The mysteries of the world around us inspire awe, which changes consciousness. Beyond merely seeking explanations, Jupiter is inspired by the magic and mystery of it all.

Career, Status (10. House):

The tenth house of career and vocation moves centre stage. Jupiter’s transit inspires aspirations and dreams. He does not only want to be great at what he does, but he wants his work to have meaning, too. Spiritually, Jupiter symbolizes the calling which only you can answer if you choose to rise to the occasion.

Community, In-Group (11. House)

In the eleventh house, Jupiter engages with the wider community. Like minds form great bonds. A common cause brings people together. Spiritually, this transit is about overcoming our differences by identifying with something that takes us above and beyond all ego-boundaries.

Spirituality, Transcendence (12. House)

The twelfth house is Jupiter’s other domain. It naturally corresponds with the sign of Pisces. As a transit, Jupiter inspires inner work and spiritual growth. Psychologically, this transit aids self-reflection and helps you gain insight into the patterns of your life, so you can make sense of it all.
